History
The Haddad family purchased Valley Forge Golf Club in 1981, and turned it into the dazzling “Coppertop at Cherokee Hills”.
The 100 year old dairy barn that was used as the clubhouse and storage since the early 60’s was renovated into a breathtaking 22,500 square foot masterpiece in 2002. Coppertop kept the landmark structure and decked it out to its capacity with a warm, full service restaurant that serves steaks, ribs, seafood, Italian and home cooked meals at a very reasonable price. On the upper level you will find the beauty of the original barn in the loft area that features a 170 inch television, pool table and games. Also located upstairs over the cart barn is a banquet room that accommodates up to 250, overlooking the golf course that will suit all of your needs.
On the lower level, sitting just above the 18th green, is an outside patio where you can enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner. An upper four season veranda is an ideal place for a Christmas party or off season event. Either setting provides a perfectplace for your outside function while you relax and watch the golfers come up from the 18th fairway. Golfer or not, you will enjoy the scenery!
They have continued to make major improvements to the clubhouse and golf course with more to come in the future!
Coppertop at Cherokee Hills is a public golf course with private club amenities. It is truly a treat to play or dine at one of Northern Ohio’s premier public golf course.
